Is this the new Fireblade?

Leaked pictures are circulating the global press at the moment in response to the announcements from Yamaha and Kawasaki of their all new 1000cc superbikes. The sneak peek photos of the 2004 Honda CBR1000RR are certainly convincing enough but we will have to wait for the official announcement from Honda.

Although no official confirmation has been made yet we are fairly confident that this is the actual bike and not a clever photo-shop creation.

The bike is styled on the successful CBR600RR. Beam headlights, underseat exhaust and Pro-Link rear suspension have made their way onto the new bike. In addition there are radial brakes and upside-down forks keeping the technology on par with the competition. The bodywork is a bit of a disappointment and will surely take a bit of flak from most potential buyers.
